I remember vividly, when I started this whole shit as a blogger, without knowledge in the internet world or anything like WordPress.com. I can still fix back my mind to the moment when I say the amazing advert of WordPress quote “showcase your passion” I didn’t what I was doing at first, I took a step to register a domain known as aiedas.com which has been now changed to this domain, expressimpacts.com!
Without money in my pocket and don’t know what to do with the new domain I just registered from WordPress because I knew nothing about Blogging or what people do by blogging! The only thing I knew as at then was that I see real people pulling their thoughts into online world! I can still remember that like, it was just yesterday the very first post I put out there was the default post, which WordPress.com helped me out, saying “hello world” and two humans I can tell commented and said “welcome to the world of blogging” That was the very first time, I realised it was it was a blog.
One thing I could tell since then till now was the fact of testing new things and practising it by following guides, I guess that’s what smart entrepreneurs do, isn’t? So how do you grow as one of this big brand out there? Maybe you’re a big brand, good you’re crushing it! Maybe you’re a small brand and looking for way to build your brand, I will share the same secret, where I build this very Magazine brand from hello word, to Hey, it’s Edas, welcome to the community (for those who subscribed to the newsletters. Here are few things I did to build this very community!
Learn, fail and repeat until you make it.
Yeah! Some fellows are gonna say “why failure?” Relax, since I was growing, from a child I realised failure was a friend to help you grow instead of limiting you! For instance, I failed in building a site at first but I had to go to YouTube.com to know how to design a website, bought courses on Udemy.com to expertise my knowledge on the act of blogging. So likewise you can find what you’re passionate about, learn how to be an expert in that direction, execute your actions and repeat the same process again.
Find a way to go beyond limitations.
It’s better to stay long time learning new things that grow you brand than facing your limitations in life. This is my greatest asset so far, since I got into this whole blogging and publishing. I didn’t come from rich parent who could lend me some money to put my resources or outsource staffs to pursue my passion but, I have to learn how to do everything. I learnt web design on Udemy.com because I can’t afford a staff at first to design my website.
There are so many people who are limited by their mind because they think they don’t have what it takes to achieve their dream. Maybe, you don’t have the money to outsource staffs for your business, you could learn it, that’s why YouTube.com is there, that’s why Udemy.com and many other folks who sell educational contents to help you build your brand, never create excuse for your failure!
Add value to your audience and not just quick money.
This is what just entrepreneurs don’t do but the smart ones. To be a smart entrepreneur, you’ve to focus on adding values to your audience and not making money, but how do you add this value? Quick money extracted from your promote will keep you for a while but create value gives an engagement to your brand. Your audiences want to know you personally and not just your product, though it’s good but they want to know the guy behind the product, the product. Practice engaging with your audience, I spend 3-4 hours everyday to interact with people than just creating new contents or product. They will eventually buy every products you put out there because they know and trust your brand! As a result they become addicted customers or clients.
If it requires you offering free products of yours free, give it out to them! If it requires them calling for free consultation or what ever, you do! Do those things, you’ll be surprise how they become more engaged with you and sells yourself out there!
Sometimes, this might not work out, your audience will tell you what they like or not. That will help you know their mind and create products that affects them positively. Practice adding value than just sales!
